Medical cannabis
Medical cannabis is a medicinal product available only by Rpw prescription (for narcotic substances). Its use is regulated by the Act on Counteracting Drug Addiction. In Poland, cannabis is permitted exclusively for medical purposes – not for recreational use.
The import of raw material requires knowledge of specific procedures – and we can support you in this process. We have experience in the import/export of controlled medicines, and all processes are carried out in compliance with the Pharmaceutical Law Act.
Applications of medical cannabis
Currently, medical cannabis is used, among others, in the treatment of:
- chronic pain (e.g. neuropathic),
- multiple sclerosis,
- drug-resistant epilepsy,
- chemotherapy-related symptoms,
- appetite disorders,
- insomnia.
Medical cannabis is particularly effective in cases where traditional medicines fail to provide the expected relief.
Availability and challenges
Unfortunately, its availability in Poland remains limited.
- Cultivation requires significant financial resources.
- Due to its classification (narcotic substance), registration and import processes are subject to strict regulatory procedures.
In this area, we provide full support – we have experience in the import and export of controlled medicines, carrying out all processes in accordance with the Pharmaceutical Law Act.
